Healthalicious Logo & Identity

Posted by Dre in Design, Illustration, Packaging/Product, Identity on March 29th, 2007

FinalLogo.jpgHealthalicious is a new healthy fast food alternative in good ol’ NYC. They came to us for an identity package with all the trimmings. So we cooked them up a great logo and an even better tagline “Better Than Delicious”. Working on a crazy sick Lemon-Lime color scheme, we nailed this one harder than A-Rod nailed that one in Toronto, you know what we mean. Here’s a few samples pieces of the work we did, check it and sweat it.

NOCA Logo & Stationery Design

nocaLogo.jpgNightclubs change names, alot. So when Soho323 called us and told us they were changing there name we were like cha-ching. Seriously, come on, you don’t like making money? Anyway, so back to this. NOCA - North of Canal, get it? This is a simple logo but is dead on, directional star and freaking big letters. What’s not to like? So go ahead and challange us, change your name as many times as you want and we’ll keep smacking you in the face with killer logos. Click here to see more of this project.

Pashah Rebranding

We were approached by this Madison Avenue hair salon to assist in improving their image. With Nicky Hilton and other famous New Yorker’s getting their hair done there, they receive quite a bit of press and were not happy with their image. Once your logo starts showing up in the pages of national magazines, you can see if it’s up to par real fast. They wanted a logo that felt and looked better, and they needed something that could translate to packaging better. You will see the new line we designed for them soon. We showed you some of the directions that we took. We felt a custom hand drawn logo gave it a nicer feel and matched the flower from a batik used in the salon. Maybe the Hilton’s will give us some work now, we’d love to design the packaging for the next Paris Hilton porno.

Eric Morillo Logo/Typeset

So here is another one of those fun projects. Erick Morillo is a pretty famous DJ/Producer. If you’re not familiar with the house music scene, then you probably at least know one song he produced back in the 90’s “I Like To Move It” which I’m sure you’ve heard in numerous sporting arenas and in Disney’s movie “Madagascar”, anyway the song is cheesy and annoying but made him buckets of money, which he used to start a record label called Subliminal Records. Well what the hell does that have to with this you might ask, and I’ll tell you absolutely nothing, I’m just rambling here. Anyway, we do all the design work for Subliminal and Erick asked us to work on a logo. He really didn’t know what he wanted which was a great help for graphic designers as you all know. So in between his journeys back and forth to Ibizia and around the world this project has been dragging so we posted it because we’re bored. And honestly this post is long and boring and has nothing to with anything and if you have read this whole post I’m not sure wether to thank you or laugh at you. Cheers! (I’m writing this from London Heathrow Airport, so there’s some local flavour for you)

Charmer Soccer Cup Logo Design

Picture 1.jpg

Charmer is one of the USA’s main alcohol distributors and they’re a damn good client of ours, for obvious reasons. So Charmer gets their people together every year for a soccer tournament. We’d like to think the alcohol flows freely at this event on and off the field, leading to some very funny play. But we don’t know because we’ve NEVER been invited, we just computer jockeys, kind of like monkeys but we can speak. We here at Orange32 are actually damn good soccer players, we’ve been compared to the Brazil team numerous times. And on top off playing soccer we make kick ass soccer tournament logos too. Pele couldn’t design for crap, ask anybody.

Urban Rebel Logo Design

So this guy comes by our office to discuss a logo design, he looks like Jamie Kennedy so we’ll refer to him as JK from this point on. So JK is starting a real estate company in NYC and he wants a logo that is classic but trendy, also gritty but clean. So we go over some things and figure out that he just needs to see some things because he didn’t seem to be able to stop contradicting himself. Anyway, JK makes it clear to us that he is a lawyer for some reason unknown, turns out later when our lawyers contacted him, that it is actually JK’s wife that is a lawyer. Nice! Anyway, we wanted to make him happy and turned out more than our usual 3 comps that are included in our fee. JK tells us to make it look like this logo, then to make it look like that logo. Then he wants an animal, we start out with a horse then he decides he wants a sheep, we didn’t ask why. He tells us none of his friends liked the horses and asked us what we thought of the sheep, we told him we hated it. He told us he was paying us for our opinion and we told him which ones we liked and then he told us his friends didn’t like those. So we told him to go hire his friends and leave us out of this. If you ever get a client that looks like Jamie Kennedy run away, fast.

btw- the top logo is an ambigram - for those of you that don’t know, that means it’s the same thing upside down, do a handstand on your desk and check it out!

Rawthentix Typeset

Rawthentix means something, we don’t really know. We just get paid to do this stuff man. So we can bust out some pretty sick typography when we feel like it. And on this day, we felt it, or maybe that was that Mexican food we had for lunch. Anyway, somebody felt someone or something and the Rawthentix logotype was born. Kind of like Jesus.

Rockit Aerials Logo and Stationery Design

Listen, it’s spelled Stationery not Stationary. Get yourself an education! Orange32 designed this stationary, not you. And it’s nice, and we even did that cool Letterpress thingy. Needless to say our client was impressed by that thingy and gave us money.
